Why Signal Core Exists
The Signal compares large claims: God, matter, mind, moral obligation, history, Scripture, resurrection, and Christ as Logos. Those claims cannot be compared honestly if the rules of comparison are hidden. Signal Core brings the rules into the light.
It is not a secret Christian premise. It does not say, "Begin with Christ, then count the evidence." It says something smaller and stricter: begin with truth, non-contradiction, fallible reason, accountable evidence, and the demand for explanatory power.
A map is only useful if the compass is honest. Signal Core is the compass check.
Non-Contradiction
Two claims that truly contradict cannot both be true in the same sense at the same time.
Truth Correspondence
Truth answers to reality, not merely to desire, power, tribe, emotion, or private usefulness.
Reason Tracks Truth
Human and AI reasoning are fallible, but not useless. They can detect coherence, contradiction, warrant, and evasion.
Evidence Updates Belief
Evidence should move confidence in proportion to how expected it is under one hypothesis compared with its rivals.
Explanations Compete
Scope, specificity, causal adequacy, simplicity, and explanatory power all matter.
Self-Defeat Matters
A worldview cannot deny truth, reason, evidence, or warrant while asking to be believed as true and warranted.
Neutrality Is Discipline
Fairness is not pretending contradictions are equally valid. It is giving each view its strongest case and then testing it.
Logos Is Tested
The Signal may arrive at Christ as Logos, but that claim must come downstream of evidence, coherence, defeaters, and caps.
Explanatory Power, Not Mere Possibility
Many views can make room for a fact after it appears. That is not yet explanation. A stronger explanation makes the fact less surprising, holds it together with nearby facts, and does not borrow the very things it later denies.
This is why The Signal keeps asking a harder question: what must each worldview reduce, defer, borrow, or contradict in order to survive? Naturalism may explain mechanism with great strength. Idealism may notice the stubborn reality of mind. Islam and Judaism may preserve fierce monotheism. Secular humanism may speak nobly of dignity and justice. The question is whether each can carry reason, morality, consciousness, history, revelation, evil, and Christ without losing part of the field.
The Christian claim is not that every difficulty vanishes. The claim is that in Christ the pieces begin to answer one another: reason has a source, moral obligation has authority, creation has meaning, suffering has an answer at the Cross, and history has a risen center.
How The Weights Stay Accountable
The weights are not private hunches dressed up as mathematics. The Signal was developed through a long-running, human-governed, multi-model AI-assisted process. Evidence was gathered, caveats were preserved, rival explanations were kept visible, weak moves were challenged, and correction remained possible.
AI systems assisted with drafting, critique, comparison, stress-testing, and weighting calls. That does not make AI a prophet, and it does not make the numbers sacred. A weight can be inspected. A weak argument can be challenged. A better source can force correction.
The aim is public accountability: not a black box, not a rhetorical flourish, and not a hand-tuned scoreboard. The scale is on the table so the reader can ask whether the evidence really bears the weight assigned to it.
Where The Core Points
Signal Core does not save. It measures. It asks whether our thinking is honest enough to receive the evidence when the evidence speaks.
If the map points toward Christ, it must not be because the answer was smuggled into the first line. It must be because truth, reason, moral meaning, history, Scripture, Resurrection, and coherence have converged there. The Signal is a map. Christ is Lord.
